Hiring

Over the past two weeks, Josh and I have been interviewing many potential assistant editors and post production assistants. We received a huge stack of resumes and reels, made a selection whom we wanted to meet in person, and then scheduled dates with them, one every hour. The search could have been a lot easier, because the first candidate who walked in Monday morning a week ago, Grant Dillion, swept us off our feet. Grant had spent the weekend learning as much as he could about the project and loved it, and came across as committed, dedicated, eager to be part of the team. And so he was our benchmark for all the interviews that followed. We called him back in, for a test day, on Friday, and hired him today.
