LindA at HDFEST

LindA Zacks went to the HDFEST screening in New York City, and sent these pictures from the evening at the Sony Wonder High Definition Theater at Sony Plaza on Madison Ave.

In the audience at this screening was also Julie Sadler, who sent me a letter with her impressions which she also put up in her blog.

LindA published two of her amazing journals, and you can order them here. "NYC Soul City" is especially dear to me. We saw the original in LindA's studio in Brooklyn, and I have two large prints from the journal. You will see it definitely inspired our title sequence...

The SFMOMA Exhibition

Opening Saturday, November 01, 2008, and running through Sunday, April 05, 2009

From the official announcement: ...Exchanged by friends and strangers or left in bus shelters and other unexpected places, the books have accumulated a rich tapestry of stories, drawings, and personal reflections. Collectively, the journals have traveled to more than forty countries and all 50 states. Co-curated by anonymous project creator Someguy and Stephanie Pau of the SFMOMA Education Department, this presentation features a selection of journals that have returned to San Francisco. In keeping with the spirit of the project, journals and art supplies will be available to visitors, offering an open invitation to participate in this exciting social-art experiment.

1000 Journals will screen in the museum numerous times, starting November 20th.
